Handy Terms

The terms below will help familiarize you with some of the frequently impenetrable government jargon you may hear in and around Project facilities.

CQS (pronounced seek-you in the singular, seek-youze in the plural) - Acronym from Creatures of Questionable Status. A CQ is any non-human creature that exists in mythology, legend, or folklore, but whose existence is not supported by any hard scientific evidence. Bigfoot would be an example of a CQ.

DHS - Acronym from United States Department of Homeland Security.

EOI - Acronym from Entity of Interest. An EOI is any human being that displays superhuman abilities. When the United States government first began seriously investigating reports of people with superhuman abilities, they gave these people the designation “Entites of Interest.” This unwieldy term was later simplified to the acronym EOI.

UFO - Acronym from Unidentified Flying Object. First coined by the United States government in the 1950’s, this term is used to describe flying objects that are not easily identified as man-made, or as results of natural phenomenon. Those who believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life believe that UFOs are alien spaceships.
